Since its emergence on the international ophthalmology stage, the Foldable Capsular Vitreous Body (FCVB) has been clinically applied in 11 overseas countries, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, Greece, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, Latvia, Pakistan, Georgia, Russia, and Australia. It has won praise and recognition from renowned foreign ophthalmologists and physicians, and has sparked attention and discussions on artificial vitreous in major ophthalmology conferences. In 2023, FCVB will embark on a new journey and is set to participate in the 37th Annual Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 23. The 37th Annual Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) 2023 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from February 23 to 26, 2023, organized by the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO). The APAO Congress is the largest and most influential ophthalmology conference in the Asia-Pacific region. It will invite renowned ophthalmology experts, clinicians, ophthalmologists, researchers and other ophthalmology practitioners from the Asia-Pacific region and around the world to explore the latest scientific innovative treatment methods and surgical techniques. It is expected that over 1,000 internationally renowned speakers and thousands of delegates from all over the world will attend. The APAO Congress is an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect and collaborate with peers and friends.
APAO Founded in 1960, the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) is a regional ophthalmology professional organization in the Asia-Pacific region, consisting of member national and regional ophthalmology professional societies, including the Chinese Ophthalmological Society, the Ophthalmological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Japanese Ophthalmological Society, and the Korean Ophthalmological Society. It is the largest regional academic organization in the world, with the purpose of promoting and enhancing the level of ophthalmology development in member countries, especially advancing international ophthalmology education. APAO has 25 member organizations, including 6 major regional subspecialty societies and 19 national and regional ophthalmological societies from different countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
